I Believe in Unicorns | Niki Rowland | Tags

Hey there UK Scrap Addicts! Niki here with you today and I am sharing my layout made to this month's theme, which is to use tags on our layouts.

I was away on holiday when I made this layout so was a bit limited on what products I had with me. I pulled out my 'use it or lose it' pouch of embellishments and sorted through to see if I had any pre-made tags. I had four from an older Maggie Holmes collection but together they didn't really work with the look I was going for.

So instead of making those the focus of my layout I pulled out a cut-apart sheet from the Dear Lizzy Stay Colorful collection. There were tags, journaling cards and banner-style tags too. I cut them all out and arranged onto my layout. I also tucked in some of the Maggie Holmes tags I had initially pulled out too, in an effort to use up some of those older embellishments.

I added waxed thread through all the tags - I spiraled them through the holes a few times so I didn't have any loose ends, and then stuck everything down, raising up the top edges of my tags on foam pads for added dimension.

I added a title, my journaling, some splatters and some embellishment clusters as well as some fussy cut flowers.

I have a process video of my layout available for you to view below:

Thanks so much for joining me today. Today is my last post and Process Video for UK Scrap Addicts - I'm expecting a baby in August and need to reduce my Design Team commitments a bit so it seemed sensible to take my break now, just in time for the new Design Team to start - what a talented bunch of ladies are joining us in May, I can't wait to see what amazing inspiration they bring to UK Scrap Addicts.

Thank you so much for having me over the last year or so, I've really enjoyed being on the team - it's been a blast.

Happy scrapping xxx

I Heart You / Sheena Rowlands / Tags

Hi there Sheena here again x

This month we are all crafting incorporating tags into our projects.  Using tags on my scrapbooking pages is something I do regularly particularly when paper ranges include them in their ephemera packs and on their cut apart sheets.

I Heart You.

For this layout I used the Crate Paper - Main Squeeze range which had lots of tags already in it. I chose to use the tags as the base of my layout & laid them out & moved them around till I was happy. In fact I wanted a pale tag on the left so using a ready made one as a template I cut one from paper in the 6x6 pad the using punches added a circle around the hole, if I hadn't told you, you wouldn't know it wasn't ready made.

Once I was happy I added some pink ink to my background paper before I adhered all the tags down, some on foam pads, then added my photo over, layered on white tissue paper. I then started looking for embellishments both to co ordinate and add some height to the layout.

For variety I added chipboard, die cut foam, stickers & a bow. I then added a few black and white salts after covering my photo with scrap paper to protect it.

I hope you get the chance to create soon & we would love to see your work over on our Facebook group.
Till next time x

Great Things Never Came from Comfort Zones | ScrappyNerdUK | April 2018 (Tags)

Hello fellow Scrap Addicts

This months theme is....Tags!! I will show you how easy it is to put together a layout using tags as the main focus and in my Youtube video I show a live process to demonstrate how quick a layout comes together with the use of tags.

I used 2 pieces of cardstock and matted the white on top of the grey one to give it a border around the edges. Next I added a strip of grey patterned paper across the bottom third of the page and laid my tags on top.

I chose to keep the colours simple on this layout and went the main theme of grey and white but added in some black and pink accents with the embellishments I used.

I used a photograph of my wellies in the recent snow we had as the colours really matched this layout. I mainly start my layout and then choose my photo as this seems to work best for me. There is no right or wrong way - that is completely your preference.

And here is the final layout. Very simple and clean and I personally love the finsished result. Don’t forget to head on over to Youtube to watch the Process video and if you haven’t already found us on Facebook then head over there and give our page a like. You can upload your tag layouts there too so we can see what you have been creating.

Some sad news.....but then some good news!

Hello ScrapAddicts!!!!

Normally at this stage of the month we are posting our free cut file. Unfortunately there is no cut file this month (booooooo!!).

We are having to brush up and revise the terms of use for the free cut files and we must stress that these are to be used for personal use only.

Then the good news..... We will be offering up a free cut file from next month, so don’t be too sad.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support of UKScrapAddicts.

For the Love of Hummus | Terri Morris | Tags

How can it be April already?! Where is this year going! Although the weather here in the UK has been a little crazy this Spring. It was just Easter Monday that we woke up to a couple of inches of snow here in South Yorkshire. Hopefully Spring will soon be here and we can start enjoying the outdoors more. My fiancé is not a fan of the winter so we usually have our main holiday in January.

I've been scrapping my most recent trip, this time to Egypt and Jordan. It wasn't hot but it was a great change of scenery. One of the main things we noted was the amount of hummus we ate. I think we had it almost every day.

I'm using the beautiful Crate Paper Here + There collection for this layout. I pretty much bought the whole collection from Hey Little Magpie including 2 of the map paper because I love both sides.

The new theme on UK Scrap Addicts this month is to use Tags on our projects. I used all the tags from the ephemera pack to use as decoration on this layout.

I kept all the decoration over to the left hand side of the page in order not to cover up the map on the background.

I used some geotags from the sticker sheet to mark both Egypt and Jordan on the map paper.

Happy Crafting!
