Hop Tu Naa | Alpha Stickers | Sarah (ManxyCatCrafts)

Hi Sarah here with my layout for this month's challenge of using Alphas.

I started my layout with a title and theme already in mind and began by creating a background using Mermaid Markers and Paint Over Pens both by Jane Davenport, I got mine here

I used a cute ghost and speech bubble from my Mind the Scrap October kit to add my journalling which was the lyrics to a song.

I added tiny word stickers by Mrs Brimbles and more ghosts around my photo cluster.

I balanced out the design with another cluster at the bottom of the page with more embellishments.

The web and Alpha title help to draw your eye down the page to the photo.
You can check out the video for more details here.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to enter this months challenge sponsored by Crafty Ribbons.

Mud will wash off.../ Alpha Stickers / Sheena Rowlands

Hi there x Sheena here again x

Here is my layout for the Alpha Stickers theme. Since I purchased a cutting machine I tend to use alpha stickers less often so this challenge was great at getting me rooting through my stash looking for different letters.

I decided as I was going to use Alpha Stickers I should make the feature of the page & found this quote on Pinterest which fits perfectly with my Daughters Festival photo!!

I chose my colours from the photograph when sorting through my alphas & I tried to find different size & textures to add interest. I mixed upper & lower case letters to make use of the letters I had.

I added splats to the ombre cardstock using Tim Holtz Distress stains, which is loads of fun before layering my 6x4 photo on the Creekside range of papers from One Canoe Two.

I finished the page by clustering elements on either side of the photo using chipboard, ephemera & word stickers.

How about making a long title with different alphas on your next layout.

Till next time x

UK Scrap Addicts Blog Hop Winner

Good afternoon everyone!

As you may remember, we did a blog hop recently. Some members of our design team made layouts using scraps, and in their blogs you could find a letter. When you put all those letters together you could form a word... And now we can reveal that the word was: STICKERS!

Thanks so much to everyone who participated. Out of all the entries with the correct secret word we have drawn a winner....

Congratulations Kirsty! Please get in touch with Michelle to receive your prize!

Keep scrapping!

Start Here | Alpha Stickers | Terri Morris

Good Morning Scrappy Friends, I'm feeling a little sorry for myself at the moment as I am full of cold and working nights. This month's theme is Alphabet stickers and I've used them to create a subtle background.

I added old, flat letter stickers to the background and then using a sponge covered them in white acrylic paint. I also dabbed on some turquoise paint to add a little more interest.

I put lots of layers of patterned paper behind my photos and then used embellishments to cluster around the sides.

I added a flair and perspextive from Bramble Fox along with some wooden embellishments from my stash.

Thanks for reading, I look forward to seeing all your creations using Alphabet Stickers. Don't forget to tag us on Facebook or Instagram using the #UKScrapAddicts or #uksa.

Happy Crafting!

Free Cut File for October

Are you starting to feel chilly yet?  There's definitely a nip in the air in the mornings but this is my absolute favourite time of year, especially when it's sunny and cold.  It feels like only last week that we were looking at cut files of daffodils and bunny rabbits but here we are in October already.

This month's cut file was designed by Lisa-Jane from Pretty My Page and features a pair of witchy legs with hob nail boots and stripey tights but some of the team automatically thought of elves at Christmas too!  We'd love to see it being used in any way you think they would work, be it for Halloween or Christmas or just because you like black boots and stripey tights!

You can find instructions for downloading and using the cut file in Silhouette here.  And don't worry if you don't have an electronic die-cutter, we've got some ideas for using them without one here.

As always, we'd love to see what you create with the cut file so please do link us in the comments below and if you're on social media then please don't forget to use the hashtags #ukscrapaddicts and #uksacutfiles

Thanks for stopping by!
